  Sofia is a proud native of the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas and has been practicing law for over 30 years, defending corporate and individual clients involved in complex commercial litigation, employment matters, first party/bad faith insurance litigation and suits involving personal and catastrophic injury or death, transportation law, products liability and toxic torts.   Sarah has been practicing law since 1999 representing both corporate and individual clients in a variety of matters at trial and on appeal, including professional liability (legal malpractice and grievance defense), complex commercial litigation of varying types, products liability, construction defect, serious injury and death, breach of fiduciary duty, and others. Sarah has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict in court and arbitration. Sarah is Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent® rated, was named a Texas Super Lawyer (2023) and Texas Rising Star (2007-2014) by Thomson Reuters and as published by Texas Monthly, and is a member of the Texas Bar College. Sarah currently serves as a Board Member for the Women and the Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, District 10 Director for the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, member of the District 9 Nominating Committee for the Texas Bar Foundation, and Board Member for the Civil Litigation Section of the Austin Bar Association.
